MedPro Respiratory Care is included in Alberta’s Home Oxygen and BPAP vendor list. Contact your Alberta clinic to confirm the current program route and equipment arrangements for your location.
Home Oxygen
AADL may fund prescribed home oxygen for eligible clients who meet its respiratory benefit criteria. Your clinical team can explain the assessment, medical information and prescription needed.
BPAP & Bilevel Equipment
AADL lists approved providers for BPAP equipment. Funding depends on the prescribed device, clinical eligibility and program authorization. Confirm the appropriate route with your assessment team.
Respiratory Benefits & Your Costs
Approved AADL respiratory benefits have no cost-share requirement. Confirm whether each prescribed item is approved and ask about any additional cost for an upgrade or item outside the funded benefit.
Getting Started
How to Access AADL Benefits
1. Arrange an Assessment
An AADL-approved healthcare professional assesses your needs and helps establish the appropriate benefit. Ask your care team or clinic how to access the assessment.
2. Confirm Authorization
Complete the assessment and authorization process before purchasing equipment. AADL does not reimburse equipment or supplies bought before assessment and authorization.
3. Obtain Approved Equipment
Work with an approved vendor for your authorized equipment. Confirm the device, included supplies, service arrangements and any patient-paid items before the order is completed.
CPAP Equipment
Insurance & Assistance Options
Your prescribed equipment and the rules of your insurer or assistance program determine the coverage available.
Private & Extended Health Insurance
Alberta Health Care Insurance does not cover CPAP equipment and accessories. Your private or extended health plan may provide benefits for eligible equipment.
Ask about the device, mask and replacement supplies separately. Confirm any approval needed before purchase, benefit limits, replacement timing and your share of the cost.
Assistance Programs
Alberta Health Services identifies programs that may help eligible patients with CPAP costs. Contact the relevant program or your caseworker about your circumstances and approval requirements.
MedPro can prepare an equipment quote and product details for a coverage review. Visit Financing to review payment options, or read Alberta Health Services’ CPAP buying guide for information about equipment and payment routes.
